How to Receive Eternal Life

Dear sir (or madam),

Do you know for sure that if you were to die, you would go to heaven?

If you do not, then please, let me tell you the greatest news in all of history.

1. We are all sinners in God’s sight.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23 KJV)

For there is none righteous, no not one. (Romans 3:10 KJV)

2. Because we are sinners, we should are condemned under God's law and should be punished by death and an eternity in hell.

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. (Ezekiel 18:4 KJV)

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23 KJV)

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8 KJV)

3. Jesus Christ is God’s Son, and he completely paid for all our sins by shedding his blood on the cross for all our sins, getting buried, and rising again three days later!

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
(Isaiah 53: 5 KJV)

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8 KJV)

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV)

4. TRUST IN CHRIST ALONE as your Savior (depend on his full payment for your sins, and nothing else such as the good things you do, for your salvation), and you will immediately receive eternal life.

Look unto me [Jesus Christ], and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:22 KJV)

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:31 KJV)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV)

You must NOT depend on anything else, including your baptism, reciting the Sinners' Prayer, good works, going to church, turning from sin, commitment to follow Jesus, reading the Bible, or ANYTHING except the blood of Jesus Christ to wash away your sins.

If you truly have trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior, this is what God promises concerning going to heaven and everlasting life:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. (John 6:47 KJV)

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18 KJV)

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:36 KJV)

If you have trusted in Jesus Christ as Savior, then you now have eternal life and can never lose it.

I hope you will be wise, and receive God’s free gift. He truly loves you, no matter who you are, no matter how deep into sin you may have fallen.
